I took a short personal trip out the other morning for a fresh dinner with my family. The “eyes” are starting to jump in the boat this time of year.
Well, we didn’t get even close to a check this year, but ive kept climbing the ranks slowly each year and still had a good time participating in this years #fishingtoendhunger #Walleyedan tournament yesterday. A bit breezy and some crazy high temps for Oct., but we managed to get 2 on the scales for a total weight of 8.32 lbs with our big fish at 27.5” pushing the scales herself at 6.39lbs. We did catch a 3rd fish, but it tipped the 20” mark, so she had to go back unfortunately. Every year at this event, has presented new challenges and i think one of these years, we’ll really get something put together for a big bag. I’m already excited for next years event.
Tom, Luke and Steve had a great time yesterday. Nobody wanted pictures with their bass 🤣. I sure love teaching Livescope techniques on these trips. As we appreciate the beautiful sunrises and sunsets MN has to offer. We also have to prepare for the fall, and all the unknown weather that comes with the changing of the seasons.
